I've self-managed rental properties in Wellington for years — as a private landlord, not a property manager. Between my background in banking technology and the day-to-day reality of bonds, rent, and notices, I kept hitting the same wall: nothing was built for how the Residential Tenancies Act actually works in New Zealand.
TenancyIQ is the product I wished existed. Centrix integration for consent-based tenant vetting, Akahu open banking to reconcile rent without spreadsheet archaeology, and compliance dates surfaced in one tenancy record so RTA obligations aren't something you remember only when something goes wrong.
