Data Deletion

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. TenancyIQ is committed to honouring all valid data deletion requests promptly.

If you signed up using a social login provider (such as Facebook, Google, or Apple), you may also request deletion through that provider's settings. We will process the request and remove your data from our systems.

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please email us at:

Please include the following in your request:

• The email address associated with your TenancyIQ account.
• A brief statement requesting deletion of your data (e.g., "Please delete my account and all associated data").

When we process your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Your user account and profile information.
• All property records, tenancy records, and tenant details.
• Rent payment history and financial records.
• Inspection reports and maintenance request records.
• Uploaded documents and generated notices.
• Compliance records and Healthy Homes tracking data.
• TenancyIQ Assistant conversation history.
• Expense records and billing information.

We will acknowledge your deletion request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

In some cases, we may be required by New Zealand law to retain certain records (such as financial records for tax purposes). If this applies, we will inform you of any data that cannot be deleted and the legal basis for retaining it.

If you signed in to TenancyIQ using Facebook, you can also remove TenancyIQ's access to your Facebook data by:

1. Going to your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites.
2. Finding TenancyIQ in the list of apps.
3. Clicking Remove to revoke access.

This will stop TenancyIQ from accessing your Facebook profile information. To fully delete your data from our systems, please also email us at privacy@tenancyiq.co.nz as described above.
